Once again Picard and his crew face a moral crisis where their orders conflict with the oath they took as officers of the Federation. Will the Enterprise follow orders and squash a rebellion, or stand against Starfleet, one ship against many, to protect people fighting for their freedom?

Author’s Note:

This book was never meant to be written. The prequel, The Queen of Begemot, was meant as a stand-alone story of TNG fan fiction. But T’Rya would not leave me alone. Could I really leave such a captivating Vulcan, such an interesting person, in a dank jail cell? She kept tapping me on the shoulder, day after day, giving me the shoulder shrug emoji, until I gave in and let her finish her story.

Best part? Miranda class star ship!
